FAMILY
RIVALRY
B
grade vice-captain, Chris Camenzuli,
has been keen to better little brother,
Francis's high score of 164, made against
Melton Centrals 2 years ago. On Saturday
Chris took his opportunity and made a
magnificent 167 against St Johns. The
ball is back in your court now Frankie.
BAZ
THE BATSMEN - YES HE IS
Reluctant
C grade tailender, Adam Baran,
who usually prefers not to bat came in
on the weekend at No 10 joining captain,
Andrew Axford, with the score on
8/304 and plenty of overs left to face.
The pair put on 90 for the 9th wicket
before Andrew(156) was dismissed. Baz
then put on a further 20 valuable runs
with Jess Vaiano, in an unbeaten
10th wicket partnership to safely guide
the team to 9/414 at stumps. Baz finished
the day on 32 not out.
TOM
RUNS INTO FORM
Thomas
Melvin, who joined Melton South
this season has found form with the bat.
Tom opened the batting in D grade and
made a fantastic 79 which included an
80 run third wicket partnership with our
Under 16 captain, Michael Anchor.
Another of
our "young" recruits, Ron
Hunt also made his top score for the
club in this match making a well compliled
27.
