Lowe, broke a run of low scores on Friday
night with a great captains innings of 42 not
out against Melton at McPherson Park. Well done

ANOTHER
PERSONAL BEST FOR BOO-BOO
Under 12 opening
batsmen, Beau Handley, scored a career
best 33 in last Friday's game against Melton
West Saints Green. Well done Beau.

BRANDON
INTO THE RUNS
Under 12 player
Brandon Thomas scored his first runs
for the club in style. Brandon made 20 not out
against Melton West Saints Green, coming into
bat at 7 for 82 and in a series of good partnerships
helped the team to a competitive 148.
Fantastic effort Brandon.
DAVID
IMPROVES ON HIS CAREER HIGH
Under 12 batsman,
David Szabo who scored double figures
for the first time in Round 1 has improved on
that score of 11 not out, making 13 against
Melton West Saints Green. Congratulations David.
AMAR
HAS FANTASTIC WEEKEND WITH THE BAT
Amar Singh
had a terrific weekend of cricket. On Saturday
morning he made 27 runs in the Under 14's and
then went one step better on Sunday in the Under
16's making 50 not out. Amar's innings on Sunday
was one of the most impressive I have seen in
a long time. Great stuff Amar.
JUSTIN
EXCEEDS HIS MOTHER'S INSTRUCTIONS
As Under 16 player,
Justin White, went out to bat his mother
told him to make double figures. Justin did
this and more, making an aggressive 31 runs,
which included 5 boundaries. Well done Justin.
BRANDON
GETS WICKETS ON DEBUT
New Under 12
player, Brandon Thomas had an excellent
start to his career with Melton South taking
2 for 8 from 4 excellent overs in the Under
12 clash with Melton Centrals. Congratulations
Brandon.

GETS WESTERN SPIRIT INVITE
Last
seasons Under 16 Captain, Paul Hetherington,
has been invited to join the Western Spirit
Under 18 Squad. A totally deserved recognition
of Paul's great 2007-08 season. Well done.
JUNIORS
PICK UP AWARDS AT MJCA PRESENTATION NIGHT
Two
Melton South juniors picked up awards at the
MJCA presentation night last Friday. Under 16
captain, Paul Hetherington, won the
bowling award for the MJCA in the Keith MacKay
Cup and under 14 player William Dau won
the bowling award for the MJCA in the Mitchell
Shield competition.
